Alyssa Stock

Food Service Manager

Alyssa has found deep joy in serving as a full-time missionary since January 2022, and her daughter Chloe, now 10, has grown up loving camp life. Their journey began in 2019 when a fire suddenly took their rental home. That difficult season led them to the Cariboo, where Alyssa started volunteering in the kitchen at Lake of the Trees Bible Camp. What she first thought would be temporary soon felt like exactly where God was leading her.

With over 15 years of experience in the food-service industry, Alyssa loves creating meals that make people feel cared for and at home. During the off-season, she supports the camp by helping with projects and maintaining the property through the winter months.

Over time, Alyssa has discovered that the kitchen—though often behind the scenes—is a place of real ministry. Many kitchen volunteers don’t directly interact with campers because they’re still exploring their faith or aren’t yet ready to serve as cabin leaders. The kitchen gives Alyssa the opportunity to walk alongside them, encourage them, and share the love of Jesus in a safe and relational way. This “background” space has become a place of discipleship, conversation, and spiritual growth.

In 2025, Alyssa married Ryan Stock, who—while not a missionary at camp—is a steady and supportive part of their life and ministry. Alyssa is grateful for how God turned a season of loss into a calling she deeply loves, and she hopes that everyone who comes to camp experiences the same love, peace, and hope He has shown her.
