Amy Kaufman

Hi, my name is Amy Kaufman. I am originally from Brantford, ON but I have recently moved to Sussex, NB. I had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home and at the age of 5 I was saved. Before I started grade 9, I spent the summer working at New Life Camp in Durham, ON for the first time. It was there that my love for camp ministry began.

Last year I graduated from the 4-year program at New Brunswick Bible Institute. It was during my third year that God made it clear to me that I was to go into fulltime ministry. I knew that it had to do with working with children, but I was unsure of what that was to look like. It was not until February of 2020 I heard that Sandy Cove Bible Camp was looking for a fulltime Program Manager.

During the summer of 2020 I was working at Sandy Cove Bible Camp as their Program Leader and Lifeguard. During our last week of Day Camp I talked to the director and told him that I would like to officially apply for the position. It was then that he started the process with our Field Director and on August 21st , 2020 it became official that I was joining One Hope Canada as Sandy Cove’s Program Manager.

As Program Manager I will be responsible for developing and managing the summer programs at Sandy Cove. I will also be seeking opportunities to expand not only the summer ministry but year-round ministries as well so we can continue to reach people of all ages. I will also be visiting churches and schools to promote the camp.
