Charity Elliott
Head Cook, Galilean Bible Camp
Charity will be serving as the camp cook at Galilean Bible Camp, where she plans to combine her passion for nutrition, hospitality, and ministry to create a welcoming and nourishing environment. She believes mealtimes at camp are not just for refueling but are a key time for connection, encouragement, and building relationships among campers and staff.
Charity holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and spent seven years working in the fitness industry at a CrossFit gym before starting her own business as a Certified Nutritionist. In 2022, she felt God prompting her to step away from her business to focus on her growing family, and in 2023, she became a full-time stay-at-home mom.
After volunteering in the kitchen during a ladies' retreat at Galilean, Charity sensed that this role brought together her gifts, skills, and heart for service. She and her husband Dan prayed about it and felt clearly led to apply for the full-time position. Now, she is excited to prepare nutrient-dense meals that help campers and staff thrive in their day to day tasks.
Charity and Dan live in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario with their three children: Alice (6), Barry (4), and Henry (9 months). As a family, they are passionate about using their lives to serve and support Gospel-centered ministry.
