Rachel Buhr

Adopt-a-Bunk Program Coordinator (Ministry Resource Centre)

Rachel has had a lifelong love for camp ministry. As a child, she attended family camps and later became a camper at Southern Alberta Bible Camp, where she went on to serve as spring staff, a cabin leader, and in various support roles.

She is passionate about building relationships with teenagers and young adults, encouraging and discipling them in their faith, and seeing young camp staff grow in their love for Jesus through serving.

While attending Briercrest in 2005, Rachel volunteered at Joe’s Place Youth Centre, where she met her husband, Ryan, who was on staff. They were married in 2007, began their family in 2009, and moved to Regina in 2011 when Ryan started his career as a police officer. They still live in Regina, Saskatchewan, raising their three daughters.

In 2023, Rachel became involved with One Hope Canada through her work at Dallas Valley Ranch Camp. After attending a personnel conference, she and Ryan felt a clear calling to serve with One Hope Canada long-term, as they deeply resonate with its mission and vision. Rachel is excited to step into this new role!
