A few summers ago, a particularly challenging group of girls stayed in Babbling Brook. One of the leaders had to go home sick, leaving the remaining leader to figure out how to ease the tension. With the help of another team member, they came up with the perfect idea: a game of “bunk bed grounders.” The girls quickly got into the spirit of things. The mood shifted from quiet tension to pure joy. It was one of those moments where the right idea, at just the right time, turned everything around.
