Ruth’s Hut hosts girls of all ages throughout our summer camp season. This cabin is unique in its design as it is one of three that was built in an octagonal shape with bunk beds lining the walls. Cabin leaders love this design as it allows for more room to sit together during cabin devotions. This cabin is also insulated and has a heater installed so we can use it during the cooler spring and fall months.

At ten years old, a young girl was dropped off for her first week of camp by her Christian foster parents. Years later, after switching foster homes, the now teen girl signed up for a week of Valley View’s Servanthood Development Program (SDP) because she was too old for other camps that interested her. This led to three years of being part of our discipleship programs, SDP and LDP (Leadership Development Program), and serving as part of our mission team. In those years, this young lady gave her life to Christ and grew in her faith. She is currently serving on the full-time, seasonal team at camp. It is remarkable to see how God has used camp to bring her into relationship with Him through Christ's death and resurrection! This story is a true testimony of the heart of Valley View—to disciple believers for living and serving in Christ's Church!
