At the start of the week, Lacy was having a very difficult time. There were many complaints about aches and pains in her body, and tantrums. It took half an hour of continuous singing to get her to stay still and try to sleep on the first night. Her cabin leaders sang "Deep and Wide" over and over again. They didn't know how the rest of week would go. Over the next few days, she began to soften and grow comfortable not only with her one-on-one but the rest of the staff and campers. She wiggled her way into many hearts. At the chapel late in the week, the speaker was talking about how Jesus wants our hearts. He asked the kids, “Jesus is knocking on the door to your heart, will you answer Him?” Lacy then looked up with excitement and joy and she said “I hear Him. Jesus is knocking on my heart!”
