Camper Story

Stephanie gave her life to Jesus during Preteen 2. Out of a cabin of 6 girls, 3 came to know Christ. When it came night time, Stephanie had started to see scary visions. She had experienced this before camp and was extremely afraid and agitated. The cabin leaders took the opportunity to pray with and over each camper, showing them God's comfort and power. They taught the new believers Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” They tucked her back in her bed and for the rest of week she saw nothing scary at night. She was won over for Christ, and given the tools to direct her eyes to God. She got to see a tangible answer to prayer and to know God as an ever-present help in times of trouble.
