THE LODGE AT MAPLE SPRINGS

 

Welcome to The Lodge, a new space where young leaders will be discipled and grow their skills for leadership in God's Kingdom! It also provides for future growth of the facility and year-round ministry of Maple Springs Bible Camp.
 
We see amazing Christian leaders growing through their experiences at Maple Springs. The Lodge is the next step; where we will improve and grow our Intern Discipleship program and house young leaders during the summer (bonus: it also creates more space for our LITs (Leaders-in-Training) and campers!)
 
At Maple Springs, our motto is “Building Relationships, Changing Lives.” Looking to the future, we are excited to see how God will use this space to continue our purpose of: “Presenting the Gospel to those with the least opportunity to hear of Christ, especially children and youth, and discipling believers for living and serving in His church.” 
 

 
THE STORY
 
For many years, we have had incredibly generous, godly neighbours next to the camp. Recently, they donated a two-acre parcel of land to the camp, a great addition, particularly for our Wilderness Camp and other activities!
 
Then our neighbours approached with a question: they were selling their beautiful timber-frame home on three more acres adjoining camp property. Would we be interested? Great potential, but the cost was high.
 
In July 2025 came another conversation, this time with other camp supporters who gave us an incredible opportunity to consider: a rent-to-own agreement that would benefit our neighbours and the camp! 
 
After many discussions with One Hope Canada, the Maple Springs Board and team, we replied with a strong "Yes!" 
 
This supporter has now proceeded with the first step by purchasing this property and Lodge and signed a rent-to-own agreement with Maple Springs. This means we are renting and can start using The Lodge this summer!
 
We will be paying a low rental fee. In the meantime, we have a maximum of five years to complete the purchase of this amazing property for a fixed price of $1.8 million. If we encounter unexpected setbacks or can't proceed, we have the ability to opt out.
 
This means for the next five years we can develop and grow our programs with this great resource! We will be learning and discerning how best to use the Lodge to grow our programs, while fundraising to complete the purchase.
HOW YOU CAN HELP

 

1. You can pray.
 
Pray for wisdom as we imagine camp growing, while staying focused on our value of being "low barrier" for every camper and family to have access to the camp experience, and the Gospel!
 
 2. You can partner with us.
 
We currently have applications open for our incredible Discipleship Intern Program, or come volunteer this summer and see what camp is all about!
 
3. You can give financially.
 
Camp is held up by an amazing family of supporters. We began receiving donations in March 2026, and have an ambitious goal of raising 40% of the total ($720,000) by June 1, 2027 so we can also apply for a large grant. 

By December 1, 2029, we hope to have all funds pledged or received so we can complete the purchase and make needed changes for future use.

THE LODGE PROJECT TIMELINE

 

  • JUNE 1, 2027

    PHASE ONE
    Initial fundraising complete: $720,000

    We need this portion of the project donated or pledge before next June so we can apply to a Charitable Trust for a significant grant toward this project. The Trust will not consider a project unless it is 40% funded.

  • DECEMBER 1, 2029

    PHASE TWO
    All funds pledged or received: $1.8 million

    We are faithfully expecting 25% of the funding for this project to come from charitable organizations. We will need your support for the final 35%. We want to have all gifts pledged by December 1, 2029 to allow time for donation processing, and the final sale transaction.

  • JANUARY 1, 2030

    PHASE THREE
    Renovations and updates.

    We will complete the sale, transaction and municipal requirements in this final year. Any additional funds will go toward repairs or small renovations that will greatly increase the capacity and usability of the Lodge!
